After being convicted in the rape case and sentenced to 4 years in prison, about four months into his jail stay he married Keisha Morris.

The marriage would only last ten months though and would be annulled after his release.

Its lead single "Fantasy" became the first single by a female artist to debut at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 and went on to top the chart for eight weeks, and became the second best-selling single of 1995 in the country. The second single "One Sweet Day" topped the Billboard Hot 100 for sixteen weeks and became the longest-running number-one single in Billboard's history, holding the record for 23 years. The album's next single "Always Be My Baby" reached number one as well. Jointly, the singles from Daydream spent a combined six months at the top of the Hot 100. To promote the album, Carey embarked on the short but successful, Daydream World Tour, visiting Japan and Europe.

Le rappeur s'est marié en 1995 alors qu'il purgeait sa peine en prison

Avec l'actrice Keisha Morris, le jeune homme s'est rencontré quelques mois avant la prison.  Mais le couple s'est séparé la même année, ayant réussi à maintenir des relations amicales.

La vie personnelle de Tupac Shakur est composée de nombreux romans.  Énumérer la plupart d'entre eux n'a pas de sens en raison de leur frivolité et de leur caractère éphémère.  La rumeur dit que même Madonna était dans une relation amoureuse avec le rappeur.

L'étoile du rappeur s'est évanouie en septembre 1996.  L'artiste et chanteur est mort à Las Vegas, où il est arrivé dans une BMW noire en compagnie du patron du label Suge Knight.  Tupac Shakur est arrivé à Las Vegas pour soutenir Mike Tyson, qui s'est disputé avec Bruce Seldon.

Tyson a gagné.  De bonne humeur, le rappeur et Knight se sont rendus dans l'une des boîtes de nuit.  Mais sur le chemin, la voiture a été abattue.  Knight a été blessé par des éclats d'obus et Tupac a été touché par 5 balles.

À l'hôpital après l'opération, l'artiste a repris ses esprits et a même essayé de se lever plusieurs fois, mais le corps de Tupac n'a pas pu supporter la grande perte de sang.  Le chanteur est tombé dans le coma, il a été branché à un respirateur.  La mort de Shakur est survenue le 13 septembre.  Le chanteur est mort sans avoir repris connaissance.  Le corps du musicien a été incinéré.  Les clients et auteurs présumés du meurtre étaient des représentants du groupe East Coast.

En mémoire de son fils, Afeni a créé un fonds pour soutenir les jeunes artistes talentueux.  En 2012, une action sans précédent a eu lieu au festival Coachella : un hologramme recréé à partir de la photo de Shakur a été joué avec les artistes Snoop Dogg et Dr.  Dre frappe Hail Mary et 2 Americaz Most Wanted.
